Hi,

Thank you so much for visiting our 'About Us' section. It means a lot to us and tells us that you’re considering leaving your beloved pet in our care. You’re probably here because you want to know who we are, whether we’re the right people for the job, and most importantly, whether your pet will be safe, happy, and well cared for with us.

So, let us introduce ourselves.

We are Ula and Maks, and our journey with dogs started with a simple dream: having a dog of our own.

As a dog owner, you probably know just how big a responsibility that is.

Because of this, we kept postponing the decision. At first, living in rented accommodation meant pets weren’t allowed. Later, we moved to Liverpool and bought our own house, and that’s when we thought, yes, now is the time!

…until reality kicked in. Renovations, furniture, unexpected expenses... you know how it goes!

That’s when a friend told me about an app

(I won’t name it, but it starts with an “R” 😉).

I remember saying that I desperately wanted a dog, but it felt like the whole universe was working against me.

My friend suggested I could start by helping other dog owners with pet care.

Looking after dogs and getting paid for it? Dream come true!

So we started researching what would be involved in helping other dog owners with pet care. We loved the idea so much that Maks bought the book “Starting Your Own Dog Home Boarding Business” by Tamsin Stone.

From there, things moved quickly.

Once we understood the legal requirements for home boarding, including the need for a licence, we focused on doing everything properly and by the book before offering the service professionally or full-time.

We gained our qualifications, put safety procedures in place, prepared our home, and successfully passed an inspection by Sefton Council. And that’s how Ula & Maks Dog Care was born.

Today, we run our business full-time, doing what we truly love.

We offer caring, reliable dog care while owners are away, so you can fully enjoy your time knowing your dog is safe, comfortable, and happy, without guilt or worry.

And what about our original dream of having a dog of our own?

We’re excited to say that we are now actively looking to welcome our own dog very soon. A female Border Collie called Nasza will be joining the Ula & Maks Dog Care team in the near future!
